Riprendiamo dal CORRIERE della SERA di oggi, 20/02/2015, a pag. 1-25, con il titolo “Pd e Palestina: un’assurda mozione da accantonare”, il commento di Pierluigi Battista.
A sinistra: terroristi palestinesi: vogliamo riconoscerne l’operato come legittimo?

Sempre molto determinato a battere il conservatorismo che ancora paralizza il suo partito, si tratti di Jobs act o di riforme istituzionali, il premier Matteo Renzi, che certo non vuole male allo Stato di Israele, dovrebbe imporsi anche con i suoi amici del Pd decisi a votare un’assurda mozione pro Palestina. L’assurdità ovviamente non sta nell’auspicare la nascita di uno Stato palestinese, ma nel non voler vedere che oggi una parte del territorio palestinese, Gaza, è nelle mani di Hamas: un gruppo che non vuole riconoscere lo Stato di Israele, che vuole eliminare tutti gli ebrei che inquinano la terra sacra, e che fa parte della jihad che oggi sta scatenando l’offensiva antiebraica anche in Europa. Mentre invece si sta imponendo un altro pregiudizio, fuorviante e pericoloso: che sia Israele il nemico della pace, che sia Israele a non voler imboccare la strada maestra di «due popoli, due Stati».

È una manipolazione della storia. È un accecamento collettivo. E anche una vergogna, quando la demonizzazione di Israele si traduce nel boicottaggio organizzato delle merci israeliane, quando le università europee chiudono la porta in faccia agli studiosi israeliani, un concentrato di incultura, ignoranza antiscientifica, fanatismo e antisemitismo che certo non ha bisogno di mozioni ambigue per alimentare un’atmosfera in Europa così ammorbata da costringere, dicono gli ultimi dati, un ebreo su quattro ad andare via dal Vecchio Continente. Poi si può dire tutto il male possibile dei governi israeliani, della loro cecità, di una politica che non ferma ma anzi incentiva nuovi insediamenti nelle terre che dovrebbero formare l’ossatura di un futuro Stato palestinese. Ma intanto un partito come il Pd non può far finta di non vedere che quella di Israele è l’unica democrazia del Medio Oriente, che la sua opinione pubblica è divisa come in tutte le democrazie che accettano il pluralismo politico e culturale. Provate a entrare in una libreria di Tel Aviv e di Gerusalemme: troverete tutti i testi più critici dell’antisionismo ebraico, troverete tutti i testi di un grande intellettuale palestinese scomparso come Edward Said, censurato e boicottato dalla dirigenza palestinese sin dai tempi di Arafat, troverete critica durissima ai governi di destra e di sinistra.
Provate e entrare in una libreria di tutte la capitali dei Paesi mediorientali che fanno la guerra santa ad Israele: solo propaganda di regime, tutto censurato, tutto sotto un controllo totalitario. In Israele si discute apertamente della politica nei confronti dei palestinesi e delle condizioni che potrebbero portare a una convivenza stabile tra due popoli e due Stati. A Gaza regna il terrore. Lo stesso Abu Mazen sembra prigioniero della sua impotenza politica. Se le mozioni pro Stato palestinese avessero un minimo di equilibrio chiederebbero tassativamente che le componenti della leadership palestinese accettassero senza indugio la legittimità dello Stato di Israele. In caso contrario, non sarebbe solo una scelta pericolosa, ma si configurerebbe come un accanimento nei confronti dello Stato ebraico. Il Partito democratico non può permettersi di commettere un errore tanto colossale. Poi ci sarebbe anche una questione di banale opportunità, questo sospetto impegnarsi per mettere spalle al muro Israele mentre profanano i cimiteri ebraici, fanno strage nei supermercati kosher, fanno scempio dei simboli della Shoah.
Ma mettiamo tra parentesi l’opportunità, e accettiamo anche l’argomento ambiguo ma molto diffuso che considera ricattatorio mettere in relazione l’antisemitismo scatenato con le botte in testa diplomatiche allo Stato di Israele. Solo che questa identificazione viene fatta propria, interamente e senza residui, esattamente da chi sta facendo dell’antisionismo la bandiera del nuovo, omicida, aggressivo, stragista antisemitismo. Non vedere questa connessione, far finta che non esista alcuna correlazione tra chi spara missili da Gaza per uccidere il maggior numero possibile di ebrei israeliani e le cellule jihadiste che hanno deciso di perseguitare gli ebrei europei è davvero una prova di cecità. E allora se una mozione parlamentare si rivolgesse ad ambedue le parti e costringesse Hamas a riconoscere l’esistenza dello Stato di Israele almeno si sarebbe raggiunto un minimo di equilibrio. Non un atto che tenga conto della storia, perché a Camp David Israele è stato a un passo da una serie di concessioni che avrebbero dato vita allo Stato palestinese. Ma per lo meno una sollecitazione che non apparisse come un gesto di deliberato isolamento di Israele.
Dunque Matteo Renzi dica al Pd di non farsi trascinare nella follia di una delegittimazione unilaterale di Israele e proprio in un momento come questo, proprio quando l’Isis dimostra tutta la sua pericolosità, proprio quando a Parigi e Copenaghen l’offensiva fondamentalista dimostra un’aggressività e una pericolosità assoluta. Una mozione da accantonare. Un tragico errore da non commettere.
